Train track monitor

Every day we hear news that the trains are getting derailed due to the presence of cracks,flaws at the joints of the tracks. In order to make overcome this,my idea is to use the idea of image processing to note down the presence of cracks or any flaws in the track. By having a camera situated on the train as the train is in continuous motion,the rails can be monitored to provide the precise and accurate information of any changes in the defects in the tracks and there by the possibility of having a faulty track can be overcome
